Since 2017, Cloud Circuit has built its practice around communication glitches and lost connections. Poet Deanna Radford channels and mixes iterative text into deconstructed words of mouth and facial gesture, while sound artist Jeremy Young employs sine waves in flux, 1/4" magnetic tape, and captured radio airs. In performance, Cloud Circuit's approach is collaborative; their sound is improvisational, structured but grid-less; it is dissected and then refracted into the present tense.

In 2020, Cloud Circuit released its debut EP, Bur sting brea k'r, with Archive Officielle, and performed as part of Vicky Mettler and Zach Scholes’ Live in Concrete series, which was issued on 10” lathe-cut vinyl and cassette. In 2023, the group served as “Ambassadors of the Embassy of Utopia” at the Prima Vista International Festival in Tartu, Estonia. In 2024, Cloud Circuit sonified Radford’s contribution to R A D I O, a poetry zine in print and sound published by Occulto, in a collaborative performance with Martin Rodriguez for Berlin’s Errant Sound space.

Cloud Circuit has shared the stage with artists including: Phew, Sam Prekop, Lea Bertucci, David Grubbs, Vito Ricci, crys cole & James Rushford, Jessica Pavone, skin Tone, Alex Zhang Hungtai, Paul Dutton, Ron Whitehead, Sarah Pagé, Greg Davis, Khaleefa "Apollo the Child" Hamdan, Alessandra Eramo, Rafael Toral, Jessica Ackerley, and more.

Notable Canadian performances include Suoni Per Il Popolo (Montreal), send + receive (Winnipeg), Bug Incision x New Works Calgary (Calgary), New Sonic Poetries (St. Catharines), Electric Circuits Festival and Tone Deaf (Kingston), and the Riverbed Reading Series (Ottawa). Other performances include the Hopscotch Reading Room and Morphine Raum (Berlin), the St. Rocco’s reading series at Arts, Letters, & Numbers (Albany), and the Fire Over Heaven series (Queens).

Cloud Circuit’s début LP will be out in June 2026 with Watch That Ends the Night Records.

Depuis 2017, le projet de poésie-sonore Cloud Circuit développe une pratique ancrée dans les défaillances de communication et les connexions perdues. La poète Deanna Radford canalise et mixe un texte itératif en paroles déconstruites — entre gestuelle et transmission orale — tandis que l’artiste sonore Jeremy Young travaille avec des ondes sinusoïdales en flux, de la bande magnétique 1/4", et des captations d’ondes radiophoniques. En performance, l’approche de Cloud Circuit est collaborative ; leur son est improvisé, ou plutôt structuré mais sans grille. Il est disséqué puis réfracté dans le présent.
